There have been numerous expressions of overt white supremacy on or near college campuses over the past several years; however, recent scholarship also indicates how higher education institutions themselves perpetuate white supremacist ideology. This paper applies Meyerson's (2008) conception of "tempered radicals" to the ways in which educational developers can be instrumental in dismantling white supremacist ideology embedded in institutional policies and practices.

Dear U.S. ISSOTL members,
As your regional VPs, we would like to hear about any special SOTL activities your institution has launched/sponsored that might be of interest to the larger community. This information will go into our regional report at the Board meeting immediately prior to the Atlanta Conference. Typically, people have shared SOTL-related conferences hosted around the country, launch of new blogs or other social media channels and receipt of relevant grants.
ISSOTL is dedicated to fostering inquiry and disseminating findings about what improves and articulates post-secondary learning and teaching in any discipline. We also recognize the importance of engaging and supporting the emerging generation of SoTL scholars. The ISSOTL Awards for Best Student Presentation/Poster acknowledge work that best represents the purposes, goals, and vision of ISSOTL and adds new knowledge, contributes innovative research, and/or provides insightful contribution to the field by a student presenter.
We are pleased this year to announce the ISSOTL Conference Enrichment Travel Award (ICETA). This award is intended to support members who might not otherwise be able to attend the ISSOTL 2019 conference in Atlanta due to financial constraints and is aligned with ISSOTL’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity.
To the ISSOTL Scholarship of Leading SIG members and the broader ISSoTL community,
Every year, ISSOTL recognizes the value of engaging students at our conference and the ISSOTL community at large through the Emerging Scholars Fund. We are dedicated to supporting this new talent and encouraging the engagement of students through sharing of ideas, networking, and learning.
